“A green-eyed woman, a psychic, and a whole lotta trouble.”
“A man who manipulates energy for sexual gain, a woman vowing to take him down and a psychic friend trying to stop her before it’s too late.”
A green-eyed woman, a psychic, and a whole lotta trouble. Fifteen years ago Judy's mother was brutally murdered. The murderer walked away with money and their freedom. Now fifteen years later Judy is having dreams about a woman whose only discernible feature are her green-eyes. This green-eyed psycho professes to be the murderer and warns Judy to leave her alone or she would regret it.
Judy turns to the police for help, but their reluctance gives Judy's friend, Hope, an idea. She suggests taking on the case themselves. With the stolen police information in hand, Judy and Hope bumble their way through trying to catch the bad guy. Little do they know someone is watching over them.
Through dinner dates, sultry dance routines, stakeouts, and a whole lot of psychic visions, the women find out that playing detective isn't what it's cut out to be, especially when the true murderer is revealed. Follow along this mystical ride to find a murderer.
Jonathan Winters was good looking, charming, and a Manipulator of Energy or an M.O.E. Hope had witnessed first hand, how he manipulated women into having sex, and almost got caught in his energy web herself, but got out before it was too late. Jonathan, however, has designs on Hope and will stop at nothing to get what he wants, her.
Now it is time to turn the tables on him. With the help of Judy and her psychic friends, Hope arms herself with tools to take him down. Dressing in various disguises, Hope and Judy set out to stop him, only to find out he has a faceless friend who is involved with him as well.
Judy and Hope soon realize that taking Jonathan and his friend down isn't as easy as it seems, especially when danger is lurking around the corner and Jonathan is in hot pursuit of Hope. Will Hope fall prey to Jonathan's M.O.E. ways or worse? Find out if the women succeed at catching the bad guys one more time.
Kitchener writer Linda Blum has produced an amusing story, a screwball mystery of sorts about a young mother named Judy who, intrigued by her own psychic visions, sets out to learn the identity of her mother's killer — something police have been unable to do after 15 years. Helping with the sleuthing in a fictional "Kitshener" on the "Grande River" is a friend, Hope who is more than willing to play detective, especially if it will better her love (sex) life. A long 515 pages, The Vision is funny, but sometimes the playful humour crosses the line into crude.
Linda Blum of Kitchener has completed and self-published another novel. It's called M.O.E. (short for Manipulator of Energy) and again features the psychic Judy and her friend, Hope, who in The Vision, Blum's 2008 novel, had many screwball adventures playing detectives in a town playfully called Kitshener. This time, the two women are scheming to "turn the tables" on Jonathan, a man who has been manipulating women into having sex and now has his eye on Hope.
My home is Kitchener, Ontario Canada where I’ve lived for most of my life, except for the eight months we lived on Vancouver Island. For those of you who know of, or have visited the historical Joseph Schneider Haus in Kitchener, I am a relative of Joseph Schneider, seventh generation.
I have very supportive brothers and a sister who, when my mom died, acted like my mom and dad and still do. I am thankful, as I don't know how I would have gotten through that terrible time without them.
I have a terrific mother and father-in-law who have helped us out through the years. Then there is my wonderful husband and son, who are kind, caring and supportive. I don't know what I'd do without them either.
My interests range from writing, reading, and watching my soaps — yes, I am a soap watcher.
